How much will I save by using Ultimate Currency Exchange?
Depending on the amount, you can save hundreds of dollars. A client can save 1% to 3% on a transaction, depending on the currency, when compared to the bank's currency exchange rate. The exchange rate you get from your bank may include a substantial markup when you actually transact and convert currency. We do not charge service fees and our currency exchange rates are posted on our website. You have complete transparency and certainty when you do business with us. We are able to offer highly competitive currency exchange rates because of our significant purchasing power and low overhead. Is there a minimum or maximum limit for each exchange transaction?
At our branches we do not have a minimum limit for transactions, but there is a maximum limit of $100,000 CAD per day per person. Minimum limit for online orders is $200.00. We can ship orders up to $3,000 CAD to anywhere in Canada.
Can I exchange any currency with you?
We have more than 100 foreign currencies available at our branches or online, the list is available on our Exchange Rates webpage. For larger amount of minor currencies, we advise you to order online or by phone to make sure that we have the currency in stock for you. For the majority of currencies we need only one business day's notice.
How can I pay when I visit one of your branches?
You can pay cash or by a debit card from a Canadian bank.
Do you accept Credit Card at your branches?
No, credit card companies do not allow to buy cash currency with a credit card. You can pay by cash or debit card by visiting one of our branches.
How can I pay when I order online?
At uexchange.ca you can pay by Interac etransfer or mail a bank draft / money order. Or if you choose pick up, you can pay when you are visiting the store.
How can I be sure that Ultimate Currency Exchange beats my bank rates?
Call your bank or check their website! In fact, we urge you to do so before calling us. Doing so will allow you to see your savings.
Will I receive a hard copy confirmation of the transaction?
Yes, we will provide you with receipt that details the received and submitted funds as well as the exchange rate.
How come Ultimate Currency Exchange can provide better rates than the big five Canadian banks?
At Ultimate Currency Exchange, our exclusive focus is foreign currency exchange. For the banks, however, the foreign exchange business is only one of many services offered. Also, our significant purchasing power and low overhead help us beat the bank rates every time.
How much do you charge per transaction?
Nothing. We do not charge any commission fee. Wether exchanging $1 or $10,000, we will provide the same great service for no commission fee.
Can I pay by US dollars for my exchange?
Yes, you can exchange your US dollars directly to any of our foreign currencies. Also you can also receive US dollars if you are selling a foreign currency. This way you will save money by not having to exchange twice.
Do you have parking spot at your branches?
Yes, you can park at our both Carling and East Ottawa branches. There are plenty of spots available at our East branch, but the number of parking spots at the Carling branch is limited. At Carling branch, you can also park your car beside Wendy's in Lincoln Fields Shopping Centre. If your distance to both branches is almost the same, we suggest you visit our East Ottawa branch.
What is Eurozone?
The collective group of countries which use the Euro as their common currency. The Eurozone came into being in 1999, and originally consisted of 11 countries. As of 2019, 19 countries are members of the Eurozone. The Eurozone does not include every country in the European Union (some countries do not use the Euro), and does not include every country that uses the Euro (to become part of the Eurozone, the country must use the Euro as its sole legal currency).
The eurozone currently consists of Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain.
